Kolkata: Over 24,000 booths marked as sensitive will have a four-layer security cover during the coming Assembly polls in West Bengal.

"Of the 70,126 booths in the state, 24,000 have been declared sensitive. Special arrangements have been made for security in these booths," Additional Chief Electoral Officer N K Sahana told reporters in Kolkata on Thursday.

"A four-layer security will be in place at these sensitive booths. Either a micro observer will be posted or cameras including web camera, digital camera and video camera installed," he said. "Central forces will be deployed around the booths. They will be provided additional protection by state police forces," Sahana said.
