After conquering England, India head to the Caribbean

A buoyant yet possibly fatigued Indian team will play its first match of the Celkon Mobile Cup in Jamaica on Sunday, just a week after beating England in Birmingham to lift the ICC Champions Trophy. The short ODI tour of the West Indies is the second in a glut of matches for MS Dhoni's team in the format leading up to the massive tour of South Africa later this year.

India have only fifty-over engagements until they fly to South Africa later this year, barring one Twenty20 international against Australia. They will play a minimum of three ODIs in the West Indies, and a fourth should they reach the final in Trinidad on July 11. After that is a tour of Zimbabwe for five ODIs starting July 24 and ending on August 3, for which it is rumoured that the BCCI will not send a full-strength side.

In October, Australia will arrive in India for seven ODIs and a Twenty20 international. Soon after that India embark on a full tour of South Africa comprising three Tests, seven ODIs and two Twenty20s beginning in December this year and extending to early 2014.

Having achieved the double of being World Cup and Champions Trophy winners, Dhoni's India look to have locked in the group of players that they believe can help them contest the 2015 World Cup. The side from the Champions Trophy has been retained for the West Indies tri-series.
