With Virat Kohli and boys sweating it out ahead of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo, Ajinkya Rahane took the fans for an inside view of the training session. The second Test starts on Thursday at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground with India leading the three-match Test series 1-0.

BCCI posted a video on Twitter which read: “Inside Team India's nets with @ajinkyarahane88 … #SLvIND.”

Speaking to the fans, Rahane briefed them about the plan of action at the training ground and said: “After warm-up we played a bit of football and then did some fielding practice. After this, batting coach Sanjay Bangar explained to us how we will be batting at the nets in pairs. Shikhar and Abhinav are the first to hit the nets. Turn by turn everyone will get a hit. The routine is very much the same and the one that we follow before every Test match. Ravi Shastri and Bharat Arun are keeping a close eye on the boys.”

Virat Kohli is also seen rolling his arm over against Shikhar Dhawan and getting some tips from bowling coach Arun. And after that Kohli is seen looking at the camera and showing how he wishes to swing the ball away from the left handed opener.

Abhinav Mukund also spoke about having a long hit at the nets and how he enjoyed himself. He also spoke about the weather being as hot as in Chennai. He felt that it was a good training session before the game and the team would have a lighter session on Wednesday.

Signing off, Rahane said that the boys looked in great shape and were keen to hit the ground running. “The team is looking forward to the second Test and the boys are in great shape. The boys are really excited as we have some great memories from this place the last time we played here,” he said.
