Bangladesh 2nd innings
End of over 69: 158 for 4 (stumps) Mominul Haque (36) and captain Mushfiqur Rahim (7) bat with care to take the Bangladeshis into the penultimate day. Their lead has gone up to 52 and they need at least in excess of 200 to challenge the hosts' batsmen.
End of over 63: 146 for 4 Rangana Herath sent back Jahurul Islam and Mahmudullah off back-to-back deliveries in the 60th over to put the Lankans on top. Jahurul came down the track and missed the ball and wicketkeeper Dinesh Chandimal did the rest. He fell two short of a fifty. Mahumudullah was trapped lbw off his very first ball. Mushfiqur Rahim has joined Mominul Haque at the crease with the tourists' lead going up to 40.
End of over 45: 106 for 2 Bangladesh have erased the deficit.
End of over 41: 97 for 2 Rangana Herath has produced a gem of a delivery to get Mohammad Ashraful in the second over after tea. Ashraful was stuck to the crease and misread the line of a flatter delivery from Herath and was bowled for 4. Bangladesh trail Sri Lanka by nine runs.
Tea: 93 for 1: Bangladesh take tea on day three with the lead over Sri Lanka just 13 runs away.
End of over 36: 91 for 1 Shaminda Eranga has broken the opening stand nine short of 100. Tamim Iqbal (59) is the man to go, bowled while trying to cut a ball too close to the body. The result is an inside edge. Sri Lanka's lead is just 15 now.
End of over 22: 73 for 0 Tamim Iqbal has reached his half-century and Bangladesh trail by 33 now. It has been a solid innings from Tamim. Jahurul Islam is the supporting act with 22 off 56 balls. Both batsmen hit a six off the previous over bowled by Rangana Herath.
End of over 16: 53 for 0 Bangladesh's openers have forged a 50-run stand in reply to a deficit of 106; the visitors now trail by 53. Tamim Iqbal has been the dominant partner with 37. Jahurul Islam is batting on 15.

Sri Lanka 1st innings
111.3 overs: 346 all out Mahmudullah ends the innings with Sri Lanka claiming a lead of 106. Shaminda Eranga is the last wicket to fall, lofting a catch down to Mohammad Ashraful at wide long-on. This is only the second time in Tests that Bangladesh have bowled out Sri Lanka.
End of over 111: 346 for 9 Ninth wicket goes down for Sri Lanka. Sohag Gazi collects his third as Nuwan Kulasekara pushes at an arm ball outside off and gets a thin edge to Mushfiqur Rahim. Kulasekara departs for 22 off 75 balls. One wicket remains.
End of over 103: 324 for 8 Sri Lanka lose another, as Rangana Herath plays back to Sohag Gazi and loses his off stump. Sri Lanka's lead is 84.
End of over 100: 318 for 7 Kumar Sangakkara has been dismissed for 139, managing to add just 12 runs to his overnight total. Abul Hasan is the successful bowler, winning an appeal for caught behind. The decision took a long time to reach as the on-field umpires were not sure about whether the sound was off the bat or pitch. After several replays Sangakkara is given out. Sri Lanka lead by 77.
Day 2 summary: After bowling out Bangladesh 240, Sri Lanka got off to a bad start by losing wickets, but Kumar Sangakkara and Dinesh Chandimal bailed them out of the situation with centuries.
At stumps Sri Lanka were 294 for 6 and a lead of 54 runs with Sangakkara still batting on 127. The left-hander will have to play with the lower order in order to ensure Sri Lanka a decent lead on day three.
