    As it happened: Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh, 2nd Test, Day 4

    Live updates from day four of the 2nd Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

    Sri Lanka 2nd innings

    End of over 41.4: Sri Lanka 160 for 3
    : That is all over for Bangladesh. Sri Lanka get to their target of 160 and takes the lead in the ongoing Test series. Sangakkara and Dilshan eased up their work as both of them scored 55 and 57 respectively. Rangana Herath, the birthday boy picks up a 12-wicket haul in the match.

    End of 30 overs: 130 for 2 Robiul Islam picked up the wicket of Tilakaratne Dilshan for 57 as the opener went for an expansive drive on the offside as the ball nipped back in to rattle the stumps. Kumar Sangakkara also reached his fifty in quick time.

    End of 23 overs: 103 for 1 Tilakaratne Dilshan scored his 4th Test fifty against Bangladesh as the Lankans raced to 103 runs in 23 overs in chase of 160 at tea. Kumar Sangakkara is at the other end batting on 33 and the duo has compiled 72 runs for the second wicket.

    End of 16 overs: 80 for 1 Tilakaratne Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara made light work of the target of 160 as the duo compiled a 49-run stand in just 55 balls with Dilshan scoring 40 off 36 balls and Sangakkara joining in with 22 off35. Bangladesh bowlers were guilt off bowling too short and trying too much defending the small total. Sri Lanka need another 80 runs to win the Test match.

    End of 7 overs: 31 for 1 Sri Lanka lost Dimuth Karunaratne early for 17 chasing 160 to win in 7th over. A a very slow start chasing the modest total, Karunaratne decided to offer no shot to an incoming delivery from Rubel Hossain with umpire Nigel Long adjudging him leg before wicket. Tilakaratne Dilshan (13) was joined in the middle by Kumar Sangakkara.

    Bangladesh 2nd innings

    End of 100.4 overs: 265 Shaminda Eranga got the last Bangladesh wicket yorking Rubel Hossain for 10 runs as the visitor's second innings came to an at 265 runs, setting Sri Lanka a target of 160 runs to win the second Test at Colombo. Earlier, the last wicket resistance of 26 runs had helped Bangladesh take their lead past 150 with Abul Hasan cracking two sixes scoring 25 off 57 balls. Rangana Herath finished with second innings figures of 7 for 89.

    End of 97 overs: 241 for 9 Tilakaratne Dilshan got into the act dismissing Rubel Hossain for seven runs off 27 balls. It was tossed up delivery and Hossain went for a forward defense missing the line of the ball to see his stumps knocked back. Umpires have decided to extend the first session with Bangladesh losing nine wickets. The visitors' lead Sri Lanka by 135 runs.

    End of 90 overs: 232 for 8 Rangana Herath picked up his fourth wicket of the day and reached a career milestone of 200 wickets in just 47 matches dismissing the last recognised Bangladesh batmsan, Mushfiqur Rahim. Rahim played out 87 deliveries for his 40 as witnessed three wickets to fall at the other end. Another loopy delivery from Herath made Rahim come forward but he got an inside edge to the pads which went straight to first slip. With wickets remaining, Bangladesh lead Sri Lanka by 126 runs.

    End of 82 overs: 202 for 7 Sohag Gazi played aggressively and in a bid to build the lead, hit a six of Herath and two consecutive fours off scoring 26 off 31 balls, but perished to Rangana Herath trying to hit him over long-on. This is Herath's sixth wicket of the innings and Abul Hasan has joined Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle. Bangladesh lead Sri Lanka by 96 runs.

    End of 74 overs: 171 for 6 Rangana Herath took his 16th five-wicket haul in Test matches dismissing Nasir Hossian for nought. Nasir went for an on-drive yorking himself leaving his stumps rattled and Bangladesh reeling. This was the 10th wicket in the match for Herath as Sohag Gazi joined captain Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle. Bangladesh lead Sri Lanka by 65 runs.

    End of 70 overs: 160 for 5 Birthday boy Rangana Herath started the day's proceeding with the wicket of Mominul Haque in the very first over. Haque bat padded a turning delivery towards short-leg for 37. Nasir Hossain has joined Mushfiqur Rahim in the middle.

    Day 3 summary: Rangana Herath grabbed three wickets to put Sri Lanka in command of the second Test against Bangladesh on Monday as the tourists ended day three with a meager 52-run second innings lead with four wickets lost. The left-arm spinner dismissed Mohammad Ashraful (4), Jahurul Islam (48) and Mahmudullah (0) to finish with 3-45. He would have added two more but for missed catches from Nuwan Kulasekara and captain Angelo Mathews.

    Herath also bagged five wickets in the first innings of the match and approaches his 200th test wicket mark. Bangladesh ended day three with 158 for four with Mominul Haque batting on 36 with captain Mushfiqur Rahim on seven. Sri Lanka was earlier dismissed for 346 with a 106-run first innings lead. Opener Tamim Iqbal and Islam gave Bangladesh a solid start sharing 91 runs for the first wicket. Iqbal made 59, his 12th test half-century including four fours and a six before edging seam bowler Shaminda Eranga to the stumps.
