Preview: Sri Lanka and South Africa clash in a five-match ODI series, but both teams are missing key personnel. The hosts will be led by Dinesh Chandimal as regular skipper Angelo Matthews serves a two-match ban for slow over-rate.

Sri Lanka will miss frontline seamer Nuwan Kulasekara, who sustained a finger injury in the West Indies, for the first two games. Batsman Jehan Mubarak is recalled after four years.

South Africa, on the other hand, will be taking the field without injured Hashim Amla, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Graeme Smith. Fit-again Morne Morkel is in the playing XI.
