Live updates from the the second day of the first Test between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh being played at the Harare Sports Complex.

Bangladesh first innings:

End of over No.13, Bangladesh 55 for 1: After getting off to a good start to their innings, Bangladesh lost Shahriar Nafees for 29 off Kyle Jarvis bowling. Trying to work the ball on the leg side, Nafees bat face closed early and he gets a leading edge to the point fielder.

Zimbabwe first innings:

End of over No. 152.3, Zimbabwe 389 all out: Shingi Masakadza (21) and Keegan Meth were the last two wickets to fall after the post tea session as Bangladesh wrapped up Zimbabwe for 389 first innings score.

End of over No. 150, Zimbabwe 377 for 8 (Tea): After losing two wickets in this session, Zimbabwe are still holding their ground. Debutants Shingi Masakadza (14) and Keegan Meth (19) have done well with bat as players go for tea.

End of over No. 136, Zimbabwe 346 for 8: Finally Bangladesh get the wickets of Brendan Taylor (171) and Grame Cremer (42) as they look to wrap up Zimbabwe's first innings.

End of over No. 127, Zimbabwe 308 for 6: Brendan Taylor continued his form in the second day as he stays firm at the crease with an unbeaten 150. With nothing much on offer from the pitch, Bangladesh bowlers look for the remaining four wickets.

End of over No. 120, Zimbabwe 285 for 6: Brendan Taylor (135*) and Graeme Cremer (20*) have added 47 runs for the unbroken seventh-wicket partnership, which means Zimbabwe have kept their hopes of reaching 400 alive.

End of over No. 105, Zimbabwe 261 for 6: It's been a crawl for the hosts in the last ten overs, adding just 21 runs. The good news, though, is that Taylor (119*) is still there and getting good support from Graeme Cremer (12*).

End of over No. 95, Zimbabwe 238 for 6: Richmond Mutumbami's debut on the batting crease lasts just 13 balls. He edges a good length delivery, which moved slightly away, by Robiul Islam straight to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. That's Robiul's third wicket of the innings.

End of over No. 92, Zimbabwe 223 for 5: Rubel Hossain has struck early. Elton Chigumbura is walking back, having given a return catch to Hossain off a leading edge while trying to close the face of the bat a wee bit early.

Day 1 round-up:

Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor continued his strong batting performances against Bangladesh with an unbeaten century to take the home team to 217 for 4 at stumps on the opening day of the first Test on Wednesday.
