New Delhi: Ashish Nehra turned 38 on Friday and the social media was flooded with wishes for the Indian pacer. Nehra, who is currently playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League, is regarded as one of the top pacers that India has ever produced.

Nehra made his ODI debut in 2001 while he made his maiden Test bow in 2004. The left-arm pacer has picked up 44 Test wickets as well as 144 wickets in the 50-over game for India. Nehra was also part of the Indian squad that lifted the 2011 ICC World Cup trophy in Mumbai.

Currently, Nehra is a vital cog in the Indian T20I set-up, where he has picked up 34 wickets in 26 matches that he has played so far.

Social media was set ablaze by former and current cricketers who took to Twitter to wish 'Nehraji' on his special day.

Even at the age of 38, Nehra is still going strong on the field where his ball is doing all the talking. In the IPL too, Nehra has once again proved his doubters wrong and has picked up 8 wickets in the five matches that he has played so far for the defending champions.
