    Commentary (England innings)

Right then! Two exciting games so far and already heads are turning to see what this Bangladesh-England series is all about. Can we expect another humdinger in the third? Join us for the final ODI on Wednesday, 12th October, 2016 at 0830 GMT (1400 IST). Adios! Take Care!

Victorious Bangladesh skipper, MASHRAFE MORTAZA IS THE MAN OF THE MATCH AS WELL. He is happy with the win and congratulates his team. He says they were always confident that they could defend 240 but also praises his team's bowling. Admits that they were unprofessional in the first game but much profesonal tonight. On his batting, he says, he just swung at the ball and was lucky to get some runs. Is happy that he could pick up wickets for his side. Feels that if you lose 2-3 wickets early, then 240 could be difficult to chase. Is raring to play the final game and says that the whole side is up for it as it is a big match for them.

England captain, JOS BUTTLER is disappointed with the way of the defeat rather than the loss itself. He feels the batsmen were tentative in approaching the target which is not the way this English team plays. Says that 239 was chaseable if the batsmen had applied themselves. On the controversy surrounding his dismissal, he says that he was just unhappy with the way Bangladesh players celebrated but also admits that such things happen in the heat of the moment. Praises his bowlers for bowling well and does not look too much into the carnage in the death. Lauds his side for bowling well in both games. Admits that they were confident of going 2-0 up tonight but the conditions were tough. Does not want to look too much into this defeat and feels it was a blip. Opines that 240 can be chased down in two ways - either you chase it in in 42 overs or take it till the 50th - he prefers to do it in 42. Further says he prefers being 60/3 after 10 overs rather than 20/3.

The hosts perhaps took it easy after Woakes got out as they struggled to pick up the last two wickets. But eventually, they got the job done. Skipper Mortaza led from the front with 4 wickets while Taskin Ahmed changed the game in his second spell where he picked up 4 wickets for 12 runs in 19 balls. Nasir Hossain was extremely economical on return. Stay tuned for the presentation...

239 was not the easiest of targets to chase and after losing 4 quickly, England were in desperate trouble. Skipper Mortaza had run through the top order and left the side reeling. Bairstow and Buttler then revided the innings with a 79-run stand but once that was broken, another collapse ensued.

The series is alive and kicking. The crowd was heartbroken on Friday night as it saw a match slip right under its noses. But tonight, its team has stood up and delivered the goods.

44.4 M Mortaza to J Ball, OUT! SERIES LEVEL 1-1! The Bangladeshi supporters heave a sigh of relief. That last wicket stand was giving them some headaches and it is finally broken. Taskin appealed but then started walking back to his mark. To his surprise, he saw the umpire signalling for the review and then realized that his skipper had not consulted him before taking the review. 132/8

Bangladesh have taken another review. They reckon Willey is out LBW.

DAVID WILLEY walks in at number 10, replacing Woakes.

    DRINKS BREAK.

29.1 T Ahmed to C Woakes, OUT! Caught behind! This match seems to be over now, for the visitors. On a good length around off, angling in, Woakes pushes at it and is squared up. ADIL RASHID walks in at number 9, replacing Buttler.

27.1 T Ahmed to Jos Buttler, OUT! LBW! The decision is reversed and Bangladesh are cock-a-hoop! Drama out there. Buttler walked a long way across his stumps and missed his flick. He was hit on the pads and Taskin appealed confidently but the umpire did not raise his finger. Mortaza went for the review and Hawk Eye showed the impact in line of off stump and hitting middle! Now, more drama follows. Buttler is walking off but the entire Bangladeshi team roars in the face of the English skipper and he is not amused. Not the greatest bit of celebration there. Seem to have got carried away. Anyways, this is a big wicket. Buttler departs after a well-made 57, ENGLAND NEED 115 MORE WITH JUST 3 WICKETS IN HAND AND 137 BALLS TO SPARE. 123/7

Bangladesh have taken the review. They appealed for an LBW against Buttler but the umpire did not give it. Mortaza had a chat with his bowler and keeper and took the review. Now then...

26.6 N Hossain to Jos Buttler, Pushes it down the ground for one more. 123/6

26.2 N Hossain to M Ali, OUT! That is a wonderful catch! England are 6 down! A half tracker, on middle, Moeen looks to pull but gets a top edge. The ball seems to balloon over short extra cover but Shakib Al Hasan keeps his eyes on the ball, stays still for a bit, then runs back and takes a wonderful catch. Nasir is all smiles now. Do Bangladesh have an opening? Buttler is still out there though. ENGLAND NEED 119 RUNS, BANGLADESH REQUIRE 4 WICKETS, 142 BALLS REMAIN. 120/6

25.4 T Ahmed to M Ali, On middle and leg, defended back to the bowler. 115/5

25.3 T Ahmed to M Ali, Not an ideal length with a slip in place. Bangs in short and around off, Moeen pulls it wide of short mid-wicket and gets a couple. The stand moves to 10 from 12 balls. 115/5

Deep square leg comes in to first slip.

25.2 T Ahmed to Jos Buttler, Drops it short now, cannot afford to bowl that length, pulled to deep mid-wicket for a single. 113/5

25.1 T Ahmed to Jos Buttler, What a ball that is. Taskin suddenly seems to have found his length. On a good length just outside off, Buttler looks to work it to the leg side but the ball nibbles away sharply and beats him. 112/5

24.2 N Hossain to Jos Buttler, FOUR! What a shot that is! Buttler comes down the track but he is not to the pitch of the ball. He somehow manages to get bat on ball and gets it through mid-wicket. Two men converge but the ball still finds the fence! 109/5

23.4 T Ahmed to M Ali, Short and around middle, punched straight to point. 105/5

MOEEN ALI walks in at number 7, replacing Bairstow. A slip in place. Moeen Ali flirts outside that off stump a lot.

23.3 T Ahmed to J Bairstow, OUT! Caught behind! Taskin strikes on return! On a good length outside off, Bairstow looks to punch this through the line but there is no feet movement and he gets a big nick. Strangely, there is no appeal from Rahim but Taskin knows he has his man and Bairstow walks! Snickometer shows a big deflecion. The 79-run stand is broken at last. ENGLAND NEED 134 RUNS, BANGLADESH REQUIRE 5 WICKETS, 159 BALLS REMAIN. 105/5

23.2 T Ahmed to J Bairstow, Full on middle, pushed straight to mid on. 105/4

23.1 T Ahmed to Jos Buttler, Full and outside off, driven towards mid off for a quick single. 105/4

Bangladesh are desperate for a breakthrough. There is a mid-pitch conference between Mortaza, Shakib and Rahim. TASKIN AHMED comes on to bowl.

21.4 S Islam to Jos Buttler, Full and outside off, Jos pushes it towards mid off and takes the fielder on. There is a direct hit at the bowler's end but the English captain is safely in. The ball deflects off the stumps and the batsmen take the second. 100 UP FOR ENGLAND. 139 more needed from 170 balls now. 100/4

21.3 S Islam to J Bairstow, Looks to work it away to the leg side but gets a thick inside edge onto his pads. Takes a quick run. 98/4

21.2 S Islam to J Bairstow, Full and outside off, driven back to the bowler. 97/4

21.1 S Islam to Jos Buttler, Now that is the advantage of coming down the wicket. This wicket is playing up and down and hence Buttler is using his feet to negate that.
