New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday extended the deadline for cleaning up the Commonwealth Games venues by two-three days.
"It will take another two-three days. We will be up and ready. I went to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and everything is going on fine. Additional workers from MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi) have been roped in at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium," Dikshit replied when asked about the cleaning up of the Games venues.
The Delhi Chief Minister also said that an enquiry had been set up on the foot overbridge collapse outside Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
"I am confident that Games will on fine," she added.
The earlier deadline set up by Dikshit for the clean up of Games venues was Wednesday.
