Sydney: Former Australia spin bowler Beau Casson has retired from all forms of cricket due a heart condition.
The 28-year-old Casson took three wickets against the West Indies in 2008 for his sole Test appearance. He played 53 domestic matches for Western Australia and New South Wales, taking 123 wickets at an average of 43.04.
After undergoing surgery at a young age for the heart condition Tetralogy of Fallot, Casson's health has worsened in recent years.
His announcement on Tuesday followed medical advice that he would be risking his life by continuing his playing career.
