New Delhi: Sri Lanka is known for its picturesque cricket grounds and while the Galle International Stadium can give most stadiums across the world a run for its money, the place is in itself one of the most beautiful locales in the world and India skipper Virat Kohli can’t seem to have enough of the place.

Taking to Twitter, Kohli posted a picture with the ocean in the background which read: “If only I could wake up to this every morning!! #Blissful 😇.”

Earlier on Monday, spin spearhead R Ashwin spoke of the beautiful memories he has of Galle, having picked 10 wickets in the last Test that India played here in 2015. “I think every Test match is a blessing. To come back where I did really well last time round (in 2015) is like a dream come true. It was a momentous occasion for me back then as I was on my way back into the Test side and I got a six-for on the first day and went on to get a 10-for on the fourth day, no, third day I think. It brings back a lot of good memories,” he said.

Despite the beautiful setting, Kohli will have selection woes as he sits down with head coach Ravi Shastri to pick the playing XI for the opening Test as opener KL Rahul is down with fever and the BCCI has informed that he will not be available for selection in the first Test.
