    Fit-again Sehwag raring to go in IPL

    Delhi: Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag is delighted with the squad he has got for the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and believes his team's first aim is to make it to the play-off stage.Sehwag, who was not the part of the Asia Cup team because of fitness issues, is pretty confident that he will be fully fit in time for the IPL and will start batting practice in a few days time."Hopefully, I will be fine and will start working on my batting. Our first aim is to qualify for the play-offs first and for that first two or three matches will be very important. We will be without England allrounder Keven Pietersen, Sri Lanka's skipper Mahela Jayawardene and Australia's David Warner for the couple of games and that will test our bench strength,” said Sehwag on the occasion of launching the Hindi edition of the Daredevils’ website.He also said with a strong batting and pace bowling line up at his disposal this year, the Daredevils have the potential to go a long way, and that he was fully involved in the team management.”"The likes of Jayawardene, Pietersen, Ross Taylor and Andre Russell are world class players and if they deliver and live up to the expectations of their fan we are in with pretty good shout,” said Sehwag. When asked about many international captains and former skipper being part of this Daredevils squad, Sehwag said: "Their support will be very useful and there suggestions can really help me on and off the field when I am in doubt and something is not going right."The swashbuckling batsman also said that the IPL is a great stage for youngsters and this is a perfect platform for them to knock on the BCCI's door for national selection.
