New Delhi: Little Master Sachin Tendulkar led the list as former and current cricket stars congratulated Virat Kohli and his boys after they reached their second consecutive ICC Champions Trophy final by decimating Bangladesh by nine wickets in the semi-final. The win also means the Men in Blue have set up a final date with arch-rivals Pakistan.

Taking to Twitter, Tendulkar wrote: “So proud. Congratulations team India. Great performance by @imVkohli, @ImRo45 & @SDhawan25! My best wishes for the finals against Pakistan.”




Even former opener Virender Sehwag took the opportunity to show his humorous side as he wrote: “Well tried Pote. Great effort to reach semis.Ghar ki hi baat hai. Father's Day par Bete ke saath final hai. Mazaak ko serious mat liyo bete."




Former pacer Zaheer Khan took the opportunity to praise the Indian pacers who once again put up a quality show in the semi-final clash.

“Looking good at the half way mark of the match... bowlers have done a fantastic job once again in this tournament 👊👏#INDvBAN #CT17,” he wrote.




He followed that up with another tweet where he praised the team’s batting as well. “That is some high class batting display by top 3 @SDhawan25 @ImRo45 @imVkohli #BANvIND #CT17,” he wrote.




Shikhar Dhawan who is now the highest run-getter in the Champions Trophy too took time to announce how anxious he is to take on Pakistan in the final.

“Consecutive finals it is !!! Cant wait for the 18th,” he tweeted.




Injured opener KL Rahul also made it clear that he is waiting to watch India play Pakistan in the final on Sunday.

“Absolutely enjoying the brand of Cricket #TeamIndia is playing at the moment.👌 Champ stuff by @ImRo45 & @imVkohli. CAN'T wait for Sunday. 😀,” he wrote.

India will play Pakistan in the final on Sunday and going by current form, Team India definitely hold an edge over their arch-rivals.
