    IPL 5, Match 36: as it happened

    Mumbai Indians:

    20th over: 170 for 9. Umesh takes two wickets of Harbhajan and Malinga and gives three runs to finish off things for Delhi. A fantastic win for Delhi at home as they beat Mumbai by 37 runs. The victory was possible because of an all-round show from the batsmen and bowlers.

    19th over: 167 for 7. Morkel completes his four overs with figures of 1 off 21. 41 runs required off the last over and its all over for Mumbai.

    18th over: 159 for 7. Umesh Yadav seems to be not in rhythm today and consistently leaking runs. Harbhajan and Malinga are now batting for a lost cause.

    17th over: 148 for 7. The hero of last match falls. Robin Peterson wicket puts Mumbai on the back foot. Peterson fails to judge a run and falls short of ground.

    16th over: 142 for 6. Nadeem strikes when his team needed the most. First scalps Rayudu and then the dangerous Pollard. Naddem finishes with impressive figures of 2 for 35.

    15th over: 139 for 4. Pollard looks fine after his fall in the first innings while fielding, as he launches Agarkar for a six over deep midwicket. Expensive one from Agarkar, 15 off it.

    14th over: 124 for 4. Sehwag wants Nadeem to give him some wickets, especially Pollard. Nadeem doesn't disappoint his captain and bowls a tidy one.

    13th over: 115 for 4. When both Rayudu and Karthik looked settled at the middle, Agarkar bowls a superb yorker to clean bowl Karthik.

    12th over: Rayudu welcomes Nadeem with two consecutive sixes, as Mumbai take 15 runs from this over.

    11th over: 97 for 3. Umesh Yadav gets through a decent over at this stage with Karthik and Rayudu lifting the tempo.

    10th over: 88 for 3. Agarkar goes for runs, as Karthik and Rayudu hold key to Mumbai's chase. The visiting look nice and steady and can easily overhaul the target.

    9th over: 78 for 3. Rayudu launches a wide delivery off Pathan over extra-cover for a six. Pathan completes his spell of four overs with figures of 2 for 46.

    8th over: 61 for 3. Ajit Agarkar comes in for his first over and gets through a miserly one. Under lights also batting looks pretty easy with the ball coming easily onto the bat.

    7th over: 57 for 3. Rayudu and Karthik hold key to Mumbai's batting and with three wickets down the chase becomes hard. Both should first try to steady the innings and then lift the tempo in the middle overs. Eight runs off this over.

    6th over: 49 for 3. Dinesh Karthik today also looks in fine touch and scores three scorching boundaries off Umesh Yadav. 13 runs comes in this over.

    5th over: 36 for 3. Just six runs coming off this Morkel which included a boundary. Morkel pitches up and Ambati Rayadu makes some room to crash it through cover region.

    4th over: 30 for 3. Another wicket falls and this time its the in-form Rohit Sharma. The ball from Pathan just stops on him and he gently pushes it in the air to mid-on for a simple catch.

    3rd over: 19 for 2. Morne Morkel strikes, as he gets rid of Tendulkar. Morkel pitches a bit short and Tendulkar fails to judge the length and lobs an easy catch to mid-off fielder.

    2nd over: 18 for 1. Left-arm spin straightaway in the form of Shahbaz Nadeem. Sachin Tendulkar plays inside out for a six.

    1st over: 10 for 1. Mixed start for Delhi in the first over. Irfan Pathan pitches the ball up and opener Aiden Brizzard plays straight to mid-on fielder. After the dismissal Rohit Sharma walks in and hits one six off a flick and a four.

    Delhi Daredevils:

    20th over: 207 for 5. Pietersen reaches his 50 off 26 balls to power Delhi to 207. It was a great show by the Delhi batsmen, specially by Sehwag, Mahela and Pietersen. Mumbai need a solid start to chase down the massive total.

    19th over: 197 for 5. Malinga brings in his deadly yorker into play and gets two wickets in two successive balls. He traps Taylor first and then Yogesh Nagar.

    18th over: 195 for 3. Now its Kevin Pietersen's time for some big hitting. Again two sixes and two fours and 20 runs in this over. Pietersen shows his countryman how to hit switch-hits, as he scores a six off it.

    17th over: 175 for 3. Delhi keep on piling woes for Mumbai bowlers and this time its Ross Taylor. The Kiwi batsman hits two towering sixes and two fours off Harbhajan and the Mumbai skipper looks off-colour.

    16th over: 157 for 3. Two wickets in this over. Peterson removes the dangerous Sehwag and next Irfan Pathan. Sehwag makes room and plays it over covers, but RP Singh runs in to take the catch.

    15th over: 153 for 1. There is no difference in the flow of runs, as Sehwag continues in the similar fashion and score 17 runs off this Shukla over.

    14th over: 136 for 1. Finally Mumbai get to see the back of Jayawardene. Peterson pitches a length ball and Mahela goes for a reverse sweep and plays straight into the hands of Rohit Sharma at point.

    13th over: 135 for 0. Malinga comes in for his second spell and goes for runs again. Looks like Pollard has done in his shoulder after landing on his shoulder and this can be a big set back for Mumbai.

    12th over: 122 for 0. Kotla track looks an absolute beauty and Delhi are looking good for a big total from here on.

    11th over: 111 for 0. Sehwag goes ballistic. Kieron Pollard gives 23 runs and the most expensive so far, which includes two sixes and two fours.

    10th over: 88 for 0. Harbhajan Singh manages to pull back the scoring rate by giving just six runs.

    9th over: 82 for 0. The star of Mumbai's last match, Robin Peterson gives Mumbai a chance but wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik misses a stumping opportunity of Sehwag and this might prove costly for Mumbai.

    8th over: 70 for 0. Mumbai skipper, Harbhajan Singh comes in to bowl with an aim of breaking this partnership. Harbhajan desperately needs wickets under his belt to spur his confidence.

    7th over: 63 for 0. For Rahul Shukla this is a big match and all eyes will be on his performance. But with Sehwag and Mahela batting, the youngster will have a touhj time.

    6th over: 54 for 0. RP faces the blunt from Sehwag. The Delhi opener hits one glorious four over point and follows it up with a six over long-on. Time for Mumbai to introduce spin to check the run-flow, as this over Delhi take 14 runs.

    5th over: 40 for 0. Rahul Shukla replaces Malinga and comes off with a decent one compared to the last two overs. But Mahela has gone ahead of Sehwag.

    4th over: 34 for 0. Runs are coming thick and fast for Delhi at the moment and the man looking more in an attacking mode is Mahela than his partner Sehwag. RP concedes 11 runs in this over.

    3rd over: 23 for 0. Mahela Jayawardene shows no solidarity for his Lankan compatriot. Mahela scores three fours and taking 15 runs from this over.

    2nd over: 8 for 0. RP Singh gives away a boundary off the last ball. Sehwag stands tall and crashes it through the cover region.

    1st over: 1 for 0. Lasith Malinga starts off well for Mumbai. Coming back after an injury lay-off, Malinga is spot on hardly giving the Delhi openers to free their arms.

    7:30 pm: Mumbai Indians' captain Harbhajan Singh has won the toss and elected to bowl against Delhi Daredevils at the Ferozshah Kotla. Mumbai have made two changes in the form of Aiden Blizzard and Lasith Malinga and for Delhi Ajit Agarkar comes in place of Pawan Negi.

Delhi are sitting top of the table and are coming into this match after a resounding eight-wicket win over Pune Warriors India. On the other hand, Mumbai are boosted by their win against Kings XI Punjab in a nervy last-over battle.
