IPL Auction 2014: Chennai Super Kings pay 2 crore for Nehra

A total of 216 players went under the hammer on day one, but only 70 were sold with Yuvraj Singh ending up as the top-earner, bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping Rs. 14 crore.

Chennai Super Kings, who have already retained five players, brought eight players on Wednesday. Ashish Nehra was picked up by CSK for a base price of 2 crores. Chennai apart from Nehra also have picked up Faf Du Plessis, Dwayne Smith, Brendon McCullum and Mohit Sharma in their ranks.

The Super Kings are the most successful team in the IPL having won the title twice in succession (2010 and 2011) and reached the play-offs every season. Here is the list:
