    IPL Auction 2014: Kolkata go for Manish Pandey, Chris Lynn on Day 2

    Kolkata knight Riders, known for spending big in the IPL auction, were quite modest in spending in the IPL-7 auction. Their top buy this season was the retired South African allrounder, Jacques Kallis. Kolkata bought Kallis by using their Right to Match card for Rs 5.5 crore.

    They spent Rs 5 crore for opener Robin Uthappa. Their top buy on the second day was the Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey. Kolkata spent Rs 1.7 crore for the right-handed batsman.

    On day two, Kolkata gave 1.3 crore for Chris Lynn, the right-handed batsmen from Queensland Bulls in the Australian domestic cricket. Gautam Gambhir and Sunil Narine were retained by the club.
