Kallis fit for one-off T20 against India

Johannesburg: South Africa's allrounder Jacques Kallis should be fit to compete in a one-off T20 International between South Africa and India at the Wanderers on Friday night.

South Africa team manager Mohammed Moosajee said on Wednesday that Kallis had fully recovered from the neck spasm that kept him out of the third and final Test in New Zealand this week.

"Jacques' neck has fully recovered," said Moosajee. "The scan revealed a small tear, and he should be fit to play."

South Africa is resting its entire Test squad for the T20 game with the exception of Kallis and left-arm seamer Lonwabo Tsotsobe. South Africa's Test players only flew in from their tour of New Zealand on Wednesday. India arrived earlier the same day.

Money raised from Friday's game will be donated to the Jacques Kallis Foundation, which recognises and develops young cricket talent by awarding scholarships.
