Namakkal: Dubbing both DMK and AIADMK as corrupt, Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday said both the parties were misleading voters by promising freebies in their manifestos for the April 13 Assembly polls.
"People are fed up with both the Dravidian parties as they have been indulging in corruption alternately," Swamy, who was in Namakkal to campaign for BJP-Janata Party candidates, told reporters.
He said both the parties were hand in glove as no corruption cases were filed by each other relating to their respective regimes from 2001.
Criticising the freebies announced by DMK and AIADMK, he said they were not interested in creating jobs for the people of the state but were keen only on luring them with such offers.
He claimed the PMK in DMK front and DMDK in AIADMK alliance would part ways after the polls. Swamy said his party had aligned with BJP as it was a disciplined political force and did not promise freebies.
He expressed confidence that both the parties would win impressive number of seats in the elections and function as an effective opposition.
