    Pakistan innings:

50th over: After stumbling in the middle overs, Pakistan manage a competitive total of 262 at the loss of eight wickets. When Bangladesh come out to bat they have a tough task if Pakistan's bowling attack is taken into consideration.

37th over: Shahadat Hossain is on a roll! The short stuff is doing the trick for the tall Bangladeshi pacer. After having got rid of Hafeez a couple of overs ago, Hossain now sends back Asad Shafiq with another delivery that was banged in.

After bringing up his fifty a little while ago, Nasir Jamshed is run out to hand Bangladesh their first wicket.

21st over: No respite for the hapless Bangladeshis as Hafeez brings up his half-century, and Pakistan bring up their hundred.

Dav Whatmore makes his debut as the coach of the Pakistan team, who have left out middle-order batsman Azhar Ali for the match.

The Pakistanis come in the series as one of the strong contenders, despite having lost 4-0 to England in the UAE recently.

Hosts, Bangladesh on the other hand enter the tournament having lost 26 of their 28 encounters at the Asia Cup, and have been never beaten Pakistan in any of their eight meetings, in the previous editions of this competition.
