The Indian team who are coached by the legendary batsman and former captain Rahul Dravid finished as runners-up in the previous edition when they lost in the final against West Indies in Bangladesh in 2016.
The full Indian squad though will not be coming together for the camp at once, as captain Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Porel will be busy with Ranji Trophy commitments. Shaw has been in fantastic form in recent months as he scored a bagful of runs for Mumbai.
Porel on the other hand is currently representing India Green in the Under-19 Challenger Trophy in Mumbai and will join the Manoj Tiwary led Bengal Ranji Trophy squad for their quarter-final tie against defending champions Gujarat in Jaipur.
There though was no place in the squad for the left arm fast bowler Arjun Tendulkar who only recently got picked by the Mumbai U-19 squad.
The selectors have kept the likes of Om Bhosle, Rahul Chahar, Ninad Rathva, Urvil Patel and Aditya Thakare on standby.
