Rahul Dravid gives Rajasthan A+ for beating Mumbai

Jaipur: Not often do you see a side winning by 87 runs in Twenty20 cricket, but that's what Rajasthan Royals did on Wednesday evening against Mumbai Indians to get A+ rating from skipper Rahul Dravid for their allround show.

Opting to bat first, Rajasthan posted a healthy 179 on the board thanks to opener Ajinkya Rahane who carried his bat with a 54-ball 68, useful 30s by Shane Watson and Dishant Yagnik and Brad Hodge's final flourish that yielded 27 not out off 15 balls.

Rajasthan bowlers then made life miserable for Mumbai batsmen, bundling out the visitors for just 92 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium - making it Mumbai's heaviest defeat in the IPL history.

Rahul Dravid, who didn't come out to bat and pushed his big hitters ahead of him for quick runs, rightly called the team's effort "brilliant".

"It was brilliant, couldn't have asked for [anything] better. Wanted our A game to come out; I think our A+ game came out. Demoting myself wasn't a big deal; had we lost a wicket early, I would have come out to bat," the Rajasthan skipper said.

About the move to promote wicketkeeper Dishant Yagnik to No. 3, Dravid said it was planned to unsettle Mumbai spinners Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha. "We discussed it during our meeting to get Yagnik out and try to unsettle the spinners. We believe we are a good side and can beat teams, but it's early days in the tournament. Gives a lot of confidence."

The win against Mumbai was Rajasthan's fourth in five matches, perching them on top of the points table with eight points.
