Rajasthan face stiff CSK challenge in bid to hit back

Chennai: The confident Chennai Super Kings side will take on Rajasthan Royals in game 30 of this IPL 6 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Monday. Both teams are on eight points at the moment with Chennai coming in the match after an emphatic win over Kolkata Knight Riders while Rajsthan are coming after a rare slip up at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The home team has clicked collectively in its wins with allrounder Ravindra Jadeja proving to be a crucial cog in their scheme of things. Apart from him, Australia opener Michael Hussey has been in fine form and have played couple of important innings at the top. But the poor form of Murali Vijay and Suresh Raina is a massive concern for the MS Dhoni-led side. Allrounders Dwayne Barovo and Albie Morkel have also failed to kick start their season with the bat and CSK would hope the duo can help them with some useful contributions in the death overs.

Morkel along with the inexperienced but talented Mohit Sharma went wicketless in their previous match against Kolkata but have the ability to pick wickets with the new ball and can it both ways. Bravo and Chris Morris have been pick of the bowlers for them so far and R Ashwin and Jadeja shared five wickets between them at Eden Gardens. The Chennai wicket will definitely suit them once again.

Rajasthan also have some batting worries to deal with after their loss to Bangalore on Saturday. Currently fourth in the points table, Royals haveto improve an away record which is not too impressive. Even though they flopped against RCB Ajinkya Rahane, Dravid, Sreesanth and Sidharth Trivedi have been quite consistent in the tournament. Shane Watson has still not been able to get going so far and Dravid will be hoping that he and Rahane can contribute majorly while opening.

Stuart Binny played a cameo against RCB and he will hope to carry the momentum in this match as well. Brad Hodge could do with a big innings. The allrounder Kevon Cooper was benched for the last match but could slot in against CSK.

Rajasthan's bowling looks pretty strong with Sreesanth, Trivedi and James Faulkner in their arsenal. These three pacers could prove a handful for the CSK batsmen if they are on song; Faulkner in particular has been right on the money. Spinner Ajit Chandila has been been pretty consistent.
