    Ranji Trophy Group A, Round 6, Day 2: Jadeja puts Saurashtra in command

    New Delhi: Ravindra Jadeja scored his second fifty of the match as Saurashtra gained the upper hand against Bengal on day two of the Ranji Trophy Round 6 encounter at Rajkot on Sunday.Jadeja, who earlier in the day was called up by the Indian selectors for the fourth and last Test against England, was unbeaten on 67 as Saurashtra, in their second innings, closed the day on 134 for 2 with their lead going up to 231 runs.Earlier, Jadeja shone with the ball as well taking 4 for 48 as Bengal were bowled out for 112 in reply to the hosts’ first innings total of 209 in which Jadeja top-scored with a 70.Brief Scores: Saurashtra 209 and 132 for 4 (Jadeja 67*) vs Bengal 112 (Manoj Tiwary 55 retire hurt; Jadeja 4/48)Meanwhile at Mumbai, Punjab placed themselves in firm control. Harbhajan Singh, who lost his place in India’ squad for the fourth Test, made a 22. Ajit Agarkar was the pick of the Mumbai bowlers with 3 for 95.
