Bangalore: Rest of India continued their dominance over Rajasthan on day three of the Irani Trophy as they reached 564 for 4 at tea.Resuming from 328 for 2, Murali Vijay and Subramaniam Badrinath plundered runs at will against hapless Rajasthan bowlers. Badrinath was watchful early in his innings while Vijay did most of the scoring in the first hour of play. He unfurled a string of cracking straight drives and cover drives. The Tamil Nadu batsman was particularly severe on Aniket Choudhary, hammering three boundaries in his one over. The 28-year-old reached his double century with a splendid straight drive off left-arm spinner Gajendra Singh. Meanwhile, Badrinath crawled to 14 off 64 balls and later played a few scintillating shots. He reached his half-century by a nifty sweep off Singh but was cleaned up for 55 by Deepak Chahar in the last over before lunch. Vijay and Badrinath added 141 runs for the fourth wicket. At lunch Vijay was batting on 231, while Dinesh Karthik hadn’t opened his account.
