SA v Pak, 2nd T20: as it happened

Live updates from the second Twenty20 between South Africa and Pakistan at the SuperSport Park, Centurion on Sunday.

    South Africa innings:

Over 12.2 over: 100 all out That's it its all over for South Africa at Centurion. Abbott is the last batsman to fall to Umar Gul when he tried to steer a short ball but lobs it to Kamran Akmal behind the wickets. Gul returns with impressive figures of 5 for 6. With this 95-run win Pakistan clinch the two-match T20 series 1-0.

End of over 12: 98 for 9 Kliendveldt hits two back-to-back sixes but Hafeez bounces back with two wickets off consecutive deliveries.

End of over 11: 84 for 7 However, in this one Peterson and Kliedveldt decide to go after the bowling and score two fours and a six. Moreover, for South Africa the chase is all but over.

End of over 10: 67 for 7 South Africa are sinking quite fast as Hafeez picks up the seventh wicket in the form of David Miller. The batsman tries to cut and gets a thick outside edge to short third-man.

End of over 9: 63 for 6 Now it is spin from both ends with Saeed Ajmad introduced into the attack. Ajmal gets through a miserly over giving only two runs.

End of over 8: 61 for 6 Mohammad Hafeez brings on himself into the attack and for a change no wicket falls in this over. Seven runs off this one.

End of over 7: 54 for 6 Gul doesn't seems satisfied with the three in his last over as he picks up his fourth by removing Behardien. The batsman flashes at a length ball but holes up to Shehzad at point.

    End of over 6: 53 for 5
Now Mohammad Irfan joins the party and cleans up the dangerous AB de Villiers for 36. This seems to be the end of South Africa's chase.

End of over 5: 51 for 4 Umar Gul comes onto bowl and changes the course of the match with three wickets in a over. Gul got rid of Faf du Plessis and Chris Morris in successive balls and then dismissed Justin Ontong in the last ball.

End of over 4: 48 for 1 AB de Villiers looks like doing a Hafeez here and he is taking charge of the run-chase. AB scores two fours, one straight over the bowler's head and the second off a dilscoop. 14 runs conceded by Junaid in this over.

End of over 3: 34 for 1 AB targets the big fast bowler Mohammad Irfan and scores two fours and a six. The six came off a brilliant dilscoop over fine-leg.

End of over 2: 20 for 1 It all happened in this over. Ab de Villiers hit a scorching six over covers and then Davids survived a run out attempt, but could not last for long. Junaid Khan bowled a well disguised slower one and Davids plays straight to mid-on.

End of over 1: 12 for 0 Mohammad Irfan starts the proceedings and bowls a long over and also gives away 12 runs. The fourth delivery was back of length and in a flash Henry Davids slaps it through cover for a four.

    Pakistan innings:

End of over 20: 195 for 7 Not a perfect debut Abbott would have thought of. Afridi hits him for two successive boundaries off the first two balls, but Abbott makes a good comeback by picking up Umar Gul caught at midwicket. Pakistan take 14 runs off the last over to set South Africa a target of 196.

End of over 19: 181 for 6 Shahid Afridi is throwing his bat at every ball with one over to go after this. Klienveldt bowls a slower one but Afridi reads it early and clubs it for a four. Pakistan need a big last over to reach the score of 200.

End of over 18: 174 for 6 Pakistan are losing wickets now as Kamran Akmal falls for 1 while trying to clear deep cover but holes up to the fielder. Morris picks up his second wicket of the match.

End of over 17: 171 for 5 What a bizarre way to get out. Hafeez moves deep back into his crease and hits Klienveldt over point but in the process disturbs the bails. Hafeez falls for 86 and then Malik falls by playing straight to the short third-man for 7.

End of over 16: 168 for 3 After a quiet last over, Pakistan take 11 runs off this Abbott one. The South Africa bowlers tried bowling the short ones more but the Pakistan batters were well prepared. Like one ball off Abbott, Shoib Malik waits and cuts it over point for a four, brilliant execution.

End of over 15: 156 for 3 Finally a good over comes South Africa's way as Morris concedes just three runs and the wicket of Umar Akmal. Morris digs in short and Akmal tries to swat it but plays straight to the cover fielder.

End of over 14: 154 for 2 Hafeez steps up the gas and this time clobbers Ontong to successive sixes over midwicket and a four of the fifth ball. Pakistan squander 19 runs in this over.

End of over 13: 135 for 2 Hafeez is on a rampage at the moment as he welcomes Tsotsobe with a four through fine leg. At the end of this over, Tsotsobe's spell of four over also finishes with 28 for 1.

End of over 12: 125 for 2 Ahmed Shehzad tries a reverse sweep off Justin Ontong and the ball drops infront of short third-man who release the ball quickly to the non-striker end to find Shehzad short of the crease. But the wicket doesn't deter Hafeez as he folows it up with two boundaries.

End of over 11: 112 for 1 South Africa are conceding more than 10 runs per over. Morris starts off with a low full-toss and was disposed for a four and then the fifth ball Hafeez gently steers it through the point region. 13 runs off the over.

End of over 10: 99 for 1 Both the batsmen have made Peterson look pedestrian with some beautiful shot making. Pakistan take 14 runs in this over which included a four and six.

End of over 9: 85 for 1 Tsotsobe into his third over and gives away ten runs. The left-arm medium fast bowler tried to bowl a slower second ball, but Shehzad read it well to guide it through point for a four.

End of over 8: 75 for 1 South Africa are finding it tough to control the rampage of Hafeez and Shehzad. Klienveldt continues and gives away two boundaries both off short balls. Hafeez was waiting for the short ball as he rocks back to dispatch it for a four. Then Shehzad swats away a high short ball for boundary. All going well for Pakistan at the moment.

End of over 7: 64 for 1 Now runs are coming fast for the visitors with both the batsmen opening up. Hafeez doesn't allow Robin Peterson to settle down as he slams a four and six off successive deliveries.

End of over 6: 52 for 1 Chris Morris comes onto bowl and goes for runs. Hafeez tonks one short delivery through midwicket and then Shehzad slams a six and a four off the last two balls. 16 runs off the over.

End of over 5: 36 for 1 Rory Kleinveldt introduced into the attack and gets some pace going. But on the fourth ball strays down to Mohammad Hafeez's pads and the Pakistan skipper steers it towards the fine leg boundary.

End of over 4: 29 for 1 Tsotsobe gives South Africa their first breakthrough by picking up Jamshed (13) who pulled straight to the midwicket. An excellent over from Tsotsobe, just 2 runs and a wicket.

End of over 3: 27 for 0 Both the Pakistan openers have now decided to go after the star of third Test, Abbott. First to start the onslaught was Jamshed by going down the track and dispatching through short midwicket. Then Shehzad joins in by hitting a straight four and then a six over deep midwicket. Abbott concedes 17 runs.

End of over 2: 10 for 0 Lonwabo Tsotsobe into the attack and bowls a wide second delivery to which Ahmed Shehzad flays it over point for a blazing four. Six runs off the over.

End of over 1: 4 for 0 Debutant Kyle Abbott starts the proceedings for South Africa and the first two balls spot on. However, the third ball pitched up and Nasir Jamshed flicks it gently for a boundary through onside. There is good carry off the pitch, ideal for T20 cricket.

Toss and team news: Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez won the toss and elected to bat first.

"Looks a very good wicket, we'll look to post a big total and make good use of it. The boys are adapting to the new format and everybody are keen to put up their best. They played better than us in the Test series, T20s, the conditions remain the same all throughout the game, we'll look to do well," Mohammad Hafeez said after winning the toss.

"Anyway we wanted to field first with a little bit of weather around. We got what we wanted. Unfortunately the first one was washed off, the boys are up for it they are ready for the challenge. AB de Villiers will bat at the top of the order, he's our key player so we wanted him up early to give us a good picture later on," Faf du Plessis said at the toss.
