New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh cricket team found their new sponsors in Sahara India Pariwar as the corporate giant has decided to support the state squad for the next three years.
"Sahara India Pariwar has picked up the sponsorship of Uttar Pradesh senior cricket team. The sponsorship is for three years and will cover all the domestic tournaments," a release said.
"The sponsorship is a part of Sahara's corporate responsibility towards the state from where it started its business, and commitment to uplift sports at domestic and grassroots level," it added.
Sahara recently announced its plan for Indian shooters as Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Manavjit Singh figured among the 15 marksmen whose preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games would be fueled by the corporate house.
