Cape Town: South Africa are mooting an idea of increasing the number of Tests from three to four when India will tour the Rainbow nation in December 2013.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) are in talks with the BCCI, asking them to prune two ODIs for an extra Test, Sports24 reported. After the ongoing series against Pakistan, South Africa will not play a Test match until they face the same opponents in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October this year.
Having been the No. 1 side in the longest format of the game, South Africa generates great interest for everyone loving Test cricket. Another Test that too against India, which generates maximum revenue for the host board whenever they tour, will provide South Africa an additional chance to rule the rankings.
As things stands now, India are scheduled to play three Tests, seven ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals.
