When Yuvraj Singh and Virat Kohli were at the crease for Royal Challengers Bangalore chasing Kolkat Knight Riders' target, it was looking as if RCB will pull it off easily and that Kolkata may have fallen short by at least 40-50 runs. But then things turned out dramatically with Bangalore losing Kohli and Yuvraj in quick succession and Chris Lynn took one of the most brilliant catches one will ever see at the deep midwicket boundary to dismiss AB De Villiers to give Kolkata a sensational two-run win.

Lynn, who had earlier smashed a 31-ball 45, stretched his body backwards at the fence to pull off a blinder and send back dangerman De Villiers. "I slipped and I thought if I stood up and dropped the catch, it would look very silly, so just stayed down," was Lynn's explanation when asked about his stunning catch.

After De Villiers' departure, Bangalore needed six off two balls, which was not entirely out of reach, especially for a hitter like Albie Morkel. But Lynn's catch left RCB stunned, and even though the final delivery was a hittable full toss, Morkel couldn't put it away, and KKR's jailbreak was complete.

The 24-yrs-old Aussie, who plays for Queensland Bulls in the Australian domestic cricket, also helped KKR to a competitive total puttin on 80 runs for the third wicket with Jacques Kallis, after Gautam Gambhir fell for his third successive duck and the in-form Manish Pandey faltered. Lynn struck three sixes and as many fours in his 31-ball knock. Lynn's dismissal in the 12th over drained the momentum from Kolkata's innings and they finished at what seemed an inadequate score.

Kolkata, though, reached 150 for 7 after Varun Aaron's three-wicket burst.
