Commentary (West Indies innings)

So that's it from for us for this game. We hope you enjoyed our coverage of the game. Pakistan will breath easier while West Indies will want to prove that the win in the first ODI was not a fluke. The series is now leveled at 1-1 and the decider will be played on April 11, 2017 at 0930 local time (1330 GMT) We look forward to your company for that game. Until then, it's goodbye and take care!

Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed thanks the Almighty for the win. Continues saying there is always pressure once you lose the first game. Praises Babar Azam for the way he anchored the innings and Imad Wasim for the way the finished it. Gives credit to the bowlers for scalping early wickets and putting the pressure on the hosts. Adds he doesn't try to yell at the young players but tries to mold them as this is an important series for them, keeping the WC 2019 in mind. Further says they will put in their all in the series decider. On the wicket, he feels it didn't spin the other day but it did today and ends up saying it is getting slower day by day.

Man of the Match, Babar Azam thanks the Almighty at first. He says that he just wanted to bat through and ensure he get a par score for his side. Mentions that they planned to bat deep and he would anchor the innings. On the wicket he replies that he was looking to build partnerships. Says that he is happy to bat where the team wants and hopes to continue doing well.

West Indies skipper, Jason Holder is disappointed with the loss today. Feels they conceded 20 runs more. Credits his team for playing so well. Admits his batters failed to fire today and says had they did, they could have chased this down as the wicket was a good one to bat. Further says they need to be more consistent and emphasizes that the partnerships were the key which they couldn't get going. On his batting, he says he tries to stabilize the innings and is disappointed to have not helped his team cross the line. On the decider, he says they have done good things in both the games and hopes for a much better show in the final one.

Earlier in the day it was Babar Azam's brilliance that saw Pakistan post a par total. It was the 99-run stand between him and Imad Wasim that gave them the cushion and at the end, it proved to be too many for the Windies. The best part about the win for the tourists was that everyone contributed to their success. Azam registered his career best ODI score while Ali notched up his personal best with the ball in the 50-over format. The home side will be hurt with this loss. It has set up the series nicely though. Stay tuned for the details from the presentation.

Sarfraz Ahmed is pumping his fist and Hasan Ali is doing the Sajda! It has been a very vital win for the visitors. They dominated proceedings right from the word go. The new ball bowlers struck in time to peg the Windies back. The spinners then chipped in to reduce the home side to 75 for 6. Jason Holder and Ashley Nurse however shared an enterprising 58-run stand but they were always just delaying the inevitable with the required run -rate creeping up all the while. Hasan Ali came back and his heroics ensured that Pakistan sealed the deal in time to keep the series alive.

44.5 H Ali to J Holder, OUT! Second 5-wicket haul for Hasan Ali in ODIs! Bowls it around off on a shorter length, Holder comes down the track to have a go at it. The ball goes off the toe end and skies up towards long off. Babar Azam, the fielder stationed there takes the catch easily and that is it for Pakistan. They have leveled the series with a huge 74-run win! 208/10

50-run stand is up between Holder and Joseph!

43.3 M Amir to A Joseph, Joseph digs out this fuller ball towards mid-wicket and takes off for a single. There is a shy at the non-striker's end but no harm done. Had he hit, would have been curtains for Alzarri. 206/8

3rd ODI fifty for Jason Holder!
