Yuvraj Singh hopes for a comeback into Indian ODI team

Bangalore: Having made a statement with the bat in the just-concluded India 'A' series, Yuvraj Singh on Friday said that he hoped to get picked in the ODI team.

"I had a fantastic tournament here (Bangalore). Hopefully it will change things for me. I am not here to talk about my comeback, when it is suppose to happen it will happen. At the end of the day I am a cricketer and I am a fighter and survivor," he said.

India play home series against Australia and West Indies later this year.

Yuvraj, who led India 'A' against West Indies 'A', scored 224 runs -- 123, 40 and 61 -- in the three-match unofficial ODI series which his side lost 1-2.

Replying to a query, Yuvraj said it was quite a battle after he was diagonised for cancer just after the 2011 World Cup which India won. "To be honest it was hard. I am now feeling fit."
