'The Prince of Gujarat' is a lazy weekend read
Rajmohan Gandhi does a brilliant job of chronicling this prince's life.

The Prince of Gujarat is a one of a kind book. It is a story of a prince who was a part of India's struggle for independence. It is a story of times when princes and kings did not want to let go of their kingdoms and Gopaldas Patel did not want to hang on to his throne.

He grew close to the Mahatma and Sardar Patel and that started off his journey of patriotism. Rajmohan Gandhi does a brilliant job of chronicling this prince's life.

It is racy and historical and detailed with facts and nuggets of his life. I would most certainly recommend it for a lazy weekend read or maybe a two-weekend read.

Book Name: Prince of Gujarat : The Extraordinary Story of Prince Gopaldas Desai: 1887 - 1951
Author: Rajmohan Gandhi
Price: Rs 400
Publishers: Aleph Book Company
