Noted musician and former member of the Indian rock band Indian Ocean, Susmit Sen was in conversation with the audiences about "the music and the musician".

Jaipur: For many of the audiences present on the third day of the ongoing Jaipur Literature Festival, the day began with a chilly weather and warm, scintillating music.

Noted musician and former member of the Indian rock band Indian Ocean, Susmit Sen was in conversation with the audiences about "the music and the musician".

From explaining his method of composing music, Sen also talked about experimenting with chords, innovating new sounds and straying away from the obvious to create exciting music. He peppered the talk with plenty of examples, with the help of is guitar.

Sen, 24 years after the formation of Indian Ocean, also released his memoir 'Ocean to Ocean' at the event.

The memoir has been released in a hard-bound edition, with an accompanying music CD containing original compositions by his band formed with Varun Gupta, Anirban Ghosh, Nikhil Vasudevan, Amit Sharma and Sudhir Rikhari.
