Neha Marda was first seen in the serial 'Balika Vadhu', a serial about child marriage.

New Delhi: Neha Marda was first seen in the serial 'Balika Vadhu', a serial which received a lot of appreciation for its subject of child marriage. Neha appeared on the show as 'Gehna', the child bride of a middle-aged man who at first, under societal pressure, mistreats her, but as time goes by, the husband and wife get closer.

Her new serial 'Doli Armaanon Ki' launched in December 2013 has received much appreciation for her role of a young bride fighting against an abusive husband.

IBNLive asked the TV actress about the kind of books she reads and if there are any literary works that she'd like to recommend to her fans.

"I mostly read the spiritual books which help me cope up with the hectic style of life. I love 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne. I like love stories also, the Erich Segal books and also 'P.S. I Love You'," said the actress.

She also told us that she loves to write though she is not a very good reader neither does she have any time to do so between her 18 hour shifts.
