Lucknow: After the slump in the premium segment, now real estate developers are focussing on affordable housing for the medium and low income groups. In a bid to give a push to 'Housing for All by 2022' and make the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) scheme a grand success, real estate developers from across the country will gather in Lucknow for the first time to attend the national meet of The Confederation for Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) on 22nd and 23rd July.

Around 400 developers from Uttar Pradesh and 11500 developers from across country are currently members of the CREDAI.

According to Sanjay Seth, president, CREDAI-UP, "Developers participating in the conference will chalk out a roadmap to make affordable houses available to all and sundry and will also ensure their association with the PMAY scheme under PPP model. So that, private developers can help achieve the target of 'Housing for All by 2022'. Various social activities of the CREDAI will also be analysed during the conference and a strategy to increase its role would also be chalked out."

There will be special session on 'UP Ahead with Titans' at Indira Gandhi Prathishthhan on July 23 in the presence of UP CM Yogi Adityanath along with Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma, BJP National Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain along with many important ministers of Uttar Pradesh government. On July 22, a special session on skill development will be presided over by minister for skill development, Rajiv Pratap Rudy. Minister of State for Finance Santosh Kumar Gangwar will will attend the function as the chief guest.

"The discourse will also delve into the contributions to the development of Uttar Pradesh, RERA in Real Estate, GST, and Skill Development. In the real estate sector, affordable housing at minimum market interest rate has been in demand since a long time. We hope that this conference will help achieve a positive outcome toward this direction," said SK Garg, Chairman, CREDAI UP.
