At the 2016 Rio Olympics we saw some notable performances from the likes of ace shuttler and silver medalist PV Sindhu, wrestler and bronze medalist Sakshi Malik and gymnast Dipa Karmakar, who became the first Indian gymnast to enter an Olympic final.
Because of the hard work, dedication and world-class performance of these Olympians, the country witnessed some extremely proud moments.
And while everybody in the country celebrated and welcomed the two medalists - PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik - Dipa Karmakar too received a warm welcome at the airport when she returned from Rio.
In fact, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar handed over BMWs not just to the two medallists but also to Karmakar for her incredible performance at the Olympics.
All three women have been felicitated by state governments and central government and rewarded for a great show at Rio.
And while the entire country seem to be enjoying watching the girls get the attention and rewards they truly deserve, one Twitter user, Jasdeep, is concerned about 2008 Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra missing from felicitation ceremonies.
And by way of a tweet he tried to troll Bindra for his absence at the events. This is what he wrote.
@Abhinav_Bindra Bro why are you missing in all facilitations happening in Delhi? If Deepa is getting such a reception then why cant you?

As soon as Bindra saw the tweet he replied in a very mature and calm manner. He wrote, "She is a path breaker in gymnastics and I'm happy that she is getting much deserved attention. I had my moment in 2008."

That's the sign of a true sportsperson and a mature man. By avoiding the use of harsh, insensitive words, Bindra, instead of giving the user a rude reply, chose to respond in a subtle way. Brilliant.
We guess Jasdeep got his answer and hope he will think twice before trying to troll anyone in the future.
