Whether it is on the pitch or off it, Virender Sehwag never fails to entertain us. His super sixes, fantastic fours and sarcastic comments on Twitter have become his trademark.

Sehwag who has teased, embarrassed, joked and trolled several cricketers and celebrities on the micro-blogging site took on master blaster Sachin Tendulkar this time.

Just after India beat New Zealand on Tuesday by 178 runs in the second Test match at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar congratulated the Indian cricket team for reclaiming the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings. He wrote on Twitter, "A spectacular victory by Team India & many congratulations on regaining the no 1 position in the world test cricket!! (sic)."

And immediately reacting to the Tendulkar's tweet, Sehwag, who was one of the commentators for the match, tried to pull Tendulkar's leg by asking him to also appreciate the commentators for their hard work.

To this Tendulkar promptly replied and granted Sehwag his wish. He wrote, "Jiyo mere Lala....Tathaaaastuuuuu!!! (sic)."

But as we all know, Sehwag has a long history of not giving up until he has had the final word (on Twitter at least) - remember the Piers Morgan episode?

He replied to the "God of cricket" with this witty statement and left Tendulkar absolutely speechless.

Virender Sehwag truly deserves the title of God of pun-liners.

India reclaimed the numero uno status following their comprehensive 178-run win in the Kolkata Test against the visiting New Zealand. India have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series with the final Test to be played in Indore from October 8-12.
