MS Dhoni- The Untold Story, a film on the life of cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni, minted over Rs 112 crore since its release on September 30 to become the biggest earning biopic in Indian cinema with lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput winning millions of hearts with his incredible performance in the movie.

But it seems like one person wasn't quite impressed with Rajput portraying the cricketer onscreen.

Even before the film had released, actor and filmmaker Rajat Kapoor took a dig at Rajput.

Kapoor tweeted that the cricketer looks way better than the actor playing him in the film and later hashtagged it with fact.

The tweet, however, did not go down too well with some of Kapoor's followers. One user replied that such a remark wasn't expected of a filmmaker of his stature.

The Twitter user added that the director must judge actors by their acting skills and not by their looks, to which Kapoor replied saying that he wasn't judging the actor, in fact, only praising the cricketer.

Chances are that Sushant Singh Rajput, who is otherwise quite active on social media, deliberately chose to stay shut till his film proved it's worth at the box office.

Almost a fortnight after his film released and became a box office success, Rajput replied to Kapoor on Twitter in a rather polite yet classy manner.

He wrote, "I Slogged a bit extra on my skills to compensate. If you get interested in that, pls do watch the film sir:) #fact (sic)."

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Arun Pandey of Inspired Entertainment, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story is directed by Neeraj Pandey.

The film also features Kiara Advani, Disha Patani and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. The film is enjoying a good run at the box-office, while managing raving critical responses.
