A Tribute to Indian Hockey Wizard Mohammed Shahid

Legendary Indian hockey player Mohammed Shahid, who was part of the team that won gold at the 1980 Moscow Olympics, died at a Gurgaon hospital on Wednesday following his battle with a severe liver condition.

Part of the last set of India's 'golden achievers' on the Olympic field, the 1980 Moscow gold medalist was first struck down by jaundice and the resultant liver complications snatched away one of India's most gifted and celebrated sportspersons. Here's a tribute to the legend.
