New Delhi: Exciting times ahead for fans of movies and music and television. From honouring the best of cinema at the 85th Academy Awards to Norah Jones performing in India live to Charlie Sheen making his debut on Indian television; it is going to be an exciting few weeks ahead.
We list the 10 things to look forward to in the next thirty days:
1.Even though it features rank newcomers, Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che!' has generated very good vibes ever since the promos came on air. The film releases on 25th February and who knows, we might just have the new superstars in Sushant Singh rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav.
2.Hollywood would shine at its best at the red carpet of 85th Academy Awards. Who will clinch the Best Film award? Will the nine year old Quvenzhane Wallis beat veterans and win the Best Actress trophy? We will just have to wait till Monday morning to find that out.
3.Norah Jones will be on a three city tour in March in India. Jones, a well known Jazz singer and daughter of the late Pandit Ravi Shankar, will be performing in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. Have you booked your tickets yet?
4.He is back and he is very angry! Charlie Sheen's popular show 'Anger Management' premieres on Indian television from February 18th.
5.One of the most celebrated couples of Bollywood, Ajay Devgn and Kajol will celebrate 14 years of marital bliss on 24th February. And yes, they are still very much in love!
6.Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali will turn 50 on 24th February. The award winning director of films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Black', 'Khamoshi' is making his foray into the small screen as a producer of 'Saraswatichandra' which goes on air the next day. Grand way to celebrate one's 50th birthday, must say!
7.One of the best looking actors of Bollywood, Shashi Kapoor will turn 75 years old on 18 March. Expect the Kapoor Khandan to come together to celebrate the special day with veteran actor.
8.Remember last year's surprise hits 'Paan Singh Tomar' and 'Sahib Biwi And Gangster'. Well the team is back. Tigmanshu Dhulia comes back with sequel 'Sahib Biwi And Gangster Returns' with Jimmy Sheirgill, Mahie Gill, Soha Ali Khan and Irrfan. We are expecting a powerful, action-packed film. The film will be released on 8th March.
9.The witty Arshad Warsi comes back in hilarious satirical film called 'Jolly LLB' which will be released on 15th March. The promos of the film look exciting, will the film give Warsi the much needed hit?
10.She can now be easily called the 'Queen of Horror'. Bipasha Basu stars in yet another horror film called 'Aatma' which will release on 22 March. Paired opposite the very talented NAwazuddin Siddiqui, the film looks very interesting. Hope it doesn't disappoint.
