Actors shouldn't worry about numbers: Tamil actress
She is playing a pivotal role in Hindi film 'Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga' is releasing on March 8,2013.
Chennai: Southern actress Disha Pandey feels an actor should worry about his or her performance, but not about the numbers a film makes at the box-office.
"Instead of worrying about the fate of the film at the box-office, an actor should worry about his or her performance. A film will do well if the audiences are happy with the content and the performances of the actors involved in it," Disha told IANS.
"I personally don't worry about box-office numbers because I'm more interested to know if the audience liked my performance. I feel successful as an actor if my performance gets appreciated by one and all. An actor should just do his or her part and leave the rest to the producer," she added.
She is currently busy shooting for an untitled Telugu film, while her latest Hindi film 'Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga' is releasing on March 8,2013.
Even after a successful Tamil debut 'Tamizh Padam', Disha was out of action for some time.
"I was in first year of graduation when 'Tamizh Padam' happened, and since I was doing college full time, I had to take out time to complete it. As soon as I completed it, I resumed acting without having to worry about college," she said.
Disha has a Tamil film titled 'Keeri Pulla', which is on floors.
