All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) on Saturday appealed to the Jharkhand government to exempt Bollywood movie "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" based on flying sikh Milkha Singh, from entertainment tax in the state.

In a letter faxed to Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday, Bihar-Jharkhand unit president of AISSF Satnam Singh Gambhir appealed to exempt tax on the movie to encourage youths to take up sports.

Legendary athlete Milkha Singh had won laurel for the country at international arena and he has been a inspiration for the youths, Gambhir said.

He said the state governments of Delhi, Maharashtra and Goa have already made the film tax-free to encourage youths towards sports.
