Premji began his singing career as an assistant to Yuvan Shankar Raja.

One of the most celebrated comedy actors and musicians of the Tamil cinema Premji, celebrates his birthday on February 25, 2013.

The actor has spent 8 years in cinema and has proved his creative talent both as an actor and singer in the industry. The versatile actor is the son of veteran composer, song-writer and actor Ganesh Gangai Amaran.

He started his career as an assistant to his cousin and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Premji's voice also features in many rap portions of YSR's compositions.

He then made a debut in acting in the film 'Vallavan' and later went on to making a concrete career as an actor in the film 'Chennai 600028'. Simbu turned a composer in the films 'Nenjathai Killathe' and 'Thozha'.

The actor has a record of 17 films in his career including his latest projects 'Settai', 'Biriyani', 'Yaan', 'Onbadhula Guru'.
