Bangalore minor rape: State government calls for action against school
This is the third incident of child abuse within school premises in the last three months in the IT city.

Bangalore: Karnataka government has called for action against the private school where a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped. Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah on Friday said, "I have told the police and the Department of Education to initiate action against the school."

The school is likely to be de-recognised for violating Central Board of Secondary Education norms, said the government. According to the Director of Commission for Public Information, the school had permission to conduct Classes I to V in Kannada medium. It was not permitted to hold nursery classes.

Anxious parents have been demanding answers from the school management over the heinous crime. The two met on Friday but the discussions proved inconclusive as the parents were not satisfied with the arguments put forward by the school authorities.

Police has detained one staff member of the school in connection with the case, two days after the incident allegedly took place.
