CHENNAI: Five directors of the ETA Techno Park Limited in Navaloor, near Chennai, have moved the Madras High Court for advance bail. AK Abdullah, Syed Abdul Cader, Khalid AK Buhari, AH Ahmed Shakir and Abdul Qadir apprehended arrest following a complaint dated July 26 last from K Dinakaran of Gandhi Nagar in Saligramam to the Special Anti-Land Grabbing Cell in Kancheepuram.
Dinakaran had also moved the High Court seeking to implead himself as a party in the anticipatory bail applications to oppose grant of any relief to the accused.
Justice G Rajasuriya, before whom the plea was made on Friday last, granted permission for filing the impleading petition.
According to complainant Dinakaran, he purchased 18 cents in Navaloor from one Valliammal and others and the same had been registered in his name with the Sub-Registrar in Tirupporur, in 2008.
However, the accused and their associates forged and fabricated documents to the effect that the land had been sold to ETA Techno Park Limited, Dinakaran alleged.
He had also received threats from certain persons who claimed themselves as officials of the Techno Park.
They also claimed that the Techno Park was very close to the former Chief Minister. Dinakaran lodged a complaint with the Inspector of the Thalambur police station and the Superintendent of Police in Kanchipuram in January this year.
However, he was advised by the police to withdraw the complaint, Dinakaran alleged. Hence, he filed the present complaint to the Land Grabbing Cell.
