Obama to 'lay out' blueprint for an American economy
The blueprint would include important issues of manufacturing, energy and skills for workers, he said.
Washington: US President Barack Obama on Saturday asked his supporters to watch his State of the Union Address which he said would lay the blue print of rebuilding the country's economy. "I'm going to lay out a blueprint for an American economy that's built to last," Obama said in a video email message sent to his supporters by the Obama for America.
This would include important issues of manufacturing, energy and skills for workers, he said.
"American Manufacturing with more good jobs and more products stamped with Made in America. American Energy fueled by homegrown and alternative energy sources," he said.
"Skills for American Workers getting people the education and training they need so they're ready to take on the jobs of today and tomorrow.
And most importantly, a Return to American Values of fairness for all, and responsibility from all," Obama said referring to his Tuesday's State of the Union Address.
Obama said he is still working on it. "They're big ideas, because we've got to meet this moment. And this speech is going to be about how we do it," Obama said hoping that his supporters will watch it on Tuesday night.
"I hope you'll watch, and I hope you'll use the opportunity to join other supporters of this campaign in your community as you do," he said.
Obama said his address on Tuesday will be a bookend to what he said in Kansas last month about his central focus as President.
"And that's rebuilding an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded and an America where everybody gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everybody plays by the same set of rules," he said.
