Podcast: 'BJP needs a face for their campaign'
Palki Sharma says it's time the BJP tried to convert the collective public angst into votes.
New Delhi: With L K Advani officially pulling out of the race for prime ministership and the BJP wasting no time in welcoming the announcement, the party's PM candidate has again become a matter of public speculation. CNN-IBN's Palki Sharma says Advani's stand is ambiguous. Is he really yielding to the pressure from the RSS, or is it a smart move by the party veteran to let the public mood decide?
Advani has already announced a yatra, a decision that has not gone down well with the RSS which sees it as his strategy to steal the thunder from another party stalwart Narendra Modi, who on Monday finished his three-day Sadbhavna fast.
Palki says it's time the BJP tried to convert the collective public angst into votes, and the first step towards that would be to put their house in order.
