UPTET 2017 Results Declared at upbasiceduboard.gov.in, Only UPTET Qualified Teachers Eligible for Written Exam

UPTET 2017 Result has been declared by the Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority on its official website - http://upbasiceduboard.gov.in/.

The Uttar Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2017 was conducted on 15th October 2017 in 1634 exam centres across the state of Uttar Pradesh and the results of the same were expected on 30th November 2017, last month.

However, the official website of UP Basic Education Board had crashed on the same day putting over 9.76 Lakh candidates in a dilemma. There was no official communication shared by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board or Uttar Pradesh Exam Regulatory Authority till date. However, candidates who had appeared for UPTET 2017 can now check their result by following the instructions given below:

Step 1 – Visit the official website - http://upbasiceduboard.gov.in/
Step 2 – Click on Click Here for UPTET-2017 Result
Step 3 – Enter your Roll Number and Security Code, click on Proceed
Step 4 – Download your result and take a print out for further reference

In September earlier this year, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet had approved the suggested amendment in the recruitment process of Primary School teachers in the state government schools of Uttar Pradesh. As per Anupama Jaiswal, Minister of Basic Education, UP approximately 1.37 lakh primary teachers will be appointed via the newly introduced process.

The minimum cutoff to qualify UPTET 2017 is 60% and candidates who would qualify the UPTET UPRI 2017 will be eligible to apply for the posts of Upper Primary Teacher for classes VI to VIII while candidates who would qualify UPTET PRI 2017 will be eligible to apply for teachers’ posts in Primary schools for classes I to V.

Candidates who qualify UPTET 2017 will only be eligible to appear for the Written Examination for the Teacher’s recruitment in the state. As per the new amendment, “A written examination of 60 marks has been made compulsory while 40 marks will be for educational qualifications.”
