Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, the much-loved 2004 television show, is making a comeback as a web series. Ever since the team announced its second season, the fans have been waiting to catch a glimpse of it. The makers, however, are facing a problem just a few days ahead of its release - they don't have a name for the show yet and more importantly, they want the fans to name it!
They decided to make the process a little more interesting for the fans and released a promo video with a slight twist. In the video shared on social media, the entire cast of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai can be seen discussing different titles for the show. One gets a flashback of what the primary characters including Maya, Monisha, Rosesh, Sahil, Indravadhan, Madhusudhan were like.
Monisha comes up with a quintessential-Monisha title Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai - Masala Maarke, Maya is quick to tag it 'gastronomically middle-class', Indravadhan is busy taking digs at Maya, Rosesh recites a classic poetry in the name of deciding the show's title and Sahil, as always, is busy pacifying them all. Meanwhile, Dushyant wants to explain his tech-friendly title using Rosesh as an exhibit and there's absolutely no change in Madhusudhan's hearing problems.
The show was a breath of fresh air amid the saas-bahu sagas and the quirky characters - Ratna Shah Pathak, Satish Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, Rajesh Kumar, Deven Bhojani and Arvind Vaidya ended up carving their own niche in the mind and heart of viewers.
The cast hinted at a sequel in June 2016 when they got together for a reunion.
