New Delhi: Anup Kumar-led Team India will take on England in their last group match of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup on Tuesday.
India are second in the points table with 16 points after four games and are a win away from making it to the semi-final of the tournament. With five wins in five matches, South Korea have already sealed a berth in the last four from group A.
England's hopes of qualifying for the semis is only possible if they beat India by a massive margin with an extra point.
India, after being stunned by South Korea in the opening match of the competition, made a solid comeback to put their campaign back on track.
After losing their opening match, India needed to make a statement and they did it in an emphatic manner.
The Anup Kumar-led team bounced back in style as they crushed Australia 54-20 to record their first win of the 2016 edition on October 10.
India followed their massive win with another brilliant show against Argentina.
The men in blues cruised to a comfortable 74-20 win over Argentina as the home raiders flexed their muscles to notch a Kabaddi World Cup record 54-point margin win at the TransStadia in Ahmedabad.
India hardly broke sweat as Rahul Chaudhari and Ajay Thakur combined to score 25 raid points between them. Manjeet Chhillar and Surender attained a high five each to score 11 points to lead India's charge.
The defending champions India will only go with one mantra on Tuesday- defeat England, enter semis - in chase of the elusive title.
